What is a Schengen Visa?

The Schengen visa lets you travel freely across 27 European countries on a single authorisation. The Type C visa covers stays up to 90 days within any 180-day period. The Type D visa is for long stays — work, study, or family reunification in a specific country.

Which Country Do You Apply To?

You must apply at the consulate of your main destination — the country where you will spend the most nights. If nights are equal, apply to the country of first entry.
